In line with the commitment and program of Diskominfo, Biznet comes with a wider network and choice of Internet services according to the digital needs of the entire community and the government of Yogyakarta City. Seeing the need for the Internet that continue to increase from time to time, Biznet has officially launched its network in Yogyakarta City in 2012, to provide high quality Internet service for the people of DIY. The Diskominfo program is expected to complete in 2022 so that the city can be free from blank spots. With the construction of fiber optics and the presence of public WiFi facilities, it's expected that it can fulfill the need for the Internet to support the digital ecosystem in the people of Yogyakarta City. Until now, Diskominfo has provided a 600-kilometer fiber optic network and has also placed around 501 public WiFi spots that can be accessed for free by the public. The Department of Communication and Information (Diskominfo) of The Special Region of Yogyakarta (DIY) is trying to build a fiber optic network throughout the DIY area.
